My work in documentary and fiction film over the past seven years has primarily revolved around my interests in migration, philosophy and heritage. At present, I am pursuing an MSt in Film Aesthetics at the University of Oxford, where I am conducting my dissertation research on metamodernism in contemporary Malaysian cinema, funded by a Chevening scholarship. In addition to filmmaking, I am a contributing author of a forthcoming Routledge anthology on heritage in the Global South, as well as a forthcoming Palgrave encyclopedia on ocean heritage and conflict. Alongside research, I am currently working on two feature screenplays. I previously completed a BA in Film and Philosophy at New York University.
